About Abisola

Building at the intersection of technology, healthcare, and organizational intelligence.

Abisola Oladapo is an enterprise transformation executive, product leader, healthcare innovator, and advisor whose work explores a fundamental question: how do we build organizations and systems that make better decisions?

Introduction

Her career began with engineering internships at Microsoft in 2004 and 2006, giving her early exposure to enterprise technology and the discipline of building systems at scale.

From there, her work expanded across medical technology, complex global operations, entrepreneurship, management consulting, healthcare innovation, and artificial intelligence.

At Medtronic, she experienced the intersection of technology, healthcare, reliability, and trust. At CNOOC, she worked across a multibillion-dollar offshore portfolio, developing a deeper understanding of how complex organizations translate strategy into execution.

The story behind the journey

Why these transitions mattered, what they revealed, and how they shape the work today.

Chapter 01

A Problem Worth Returning To

Before joining McKinsey & Company, Abisola created the first iteration of Agnes in Nigeria, focused on improving maternal-health information, engagement, and access to care.

The early work reached approximately 5,000 women and exposed a deeper challenge: some of the most consequential changes in a patient's health happen outside the moments when the healthcare system can see them.

She eventually made the deliberate decision to pause Agnes and join McKinsey. That chapter would fundamentally change how she understood the problem.

Sometimes solving an important problem requires stepping away long enough to develop the capabilities needed to see it differently.

Chapter 02

Learning to Transform at Enterprise Scale

At McKinsey, Abisola served as Head of Product for an internal venture focused on AI-enabled and predictive healthcare solutions. She led a multidisciplinary organization of approximately 30 professionals across product, engineering, analytics, design, and business functions.

Her work contributed to more than $1 billion in value creation across healthcare engagements, including more than $800 million in margin impact for a major healthcare client.

More importantly, the experience reinforced something she had seen repeatedly: technology alone does not transform organizations. Transformation happens when technology, people, workflows, governance, expertise, operating models, and decision-making work together as a system.

Chapter 03

Returning to Agnes With a Different Thesis

After leaving McKinsey, Abisola returned to the maternal-health problem she had first encountered years earlier — this time recognizing a significant need in the United States.

She began reimagining Agnes not simply as a continuation of the original venture, but as an AI-enabled Clinical Intelligence platform for maternal care. The vision is to explore how longitudinal patient engagement, clinical context, responsible AI, and human expertise can create greater visibility into emerging maternal risk between traditional healthcare encounters — and ultimately support earlier, better-informed action.

Identify an important problem. Build. Learn. Develop new capabilities. Then return to the problem with a deeper understanding of what solving it actually requires.

From AI to Organizational Intelligence

Through CoreLoop Advisory, Abisola works with leaders and organizations navigating enterprise AI, product strategy, organizational capability, and transformation.

Across this work, she has become increasingly interested in a challenge larger than AI adoption itself. As intelligent technologies become widely accessible, competitive advantage will not come simply from having AI. It will come from an organization's ability to combine:

  • AI
  • Data
  • Evidence
  • Human expertise
  • Governance
  • Organizational learning

to consistently make better decisions.

Emerging Body of Work

Enterprise Intelligence Systems™

Under Development

Enterprise Intelligence Systems™ is an emerging body of work exploring how organizations integrate artificial intelligence, data, evidence, human expertise, governance, organizational learning, and decision-making into coherent systems that improve performance over time.

Organizations create sustainable advantage not merely by adopting more AI, but by becoming better at sensing, learning, deciding, and adapting.

The framework is intentionally under development and is being shaped through practical application, research, critique, and continued learning.

A Global Perspective

Abisola's work extends into global health and international advisory leadership.

She serves on the Strategic Technical Advisory Group for the World Health Organization's Human Reproduction Programme and has served as an Expert in Residence at Imperial College London. Her work also spans board leadership, entrepreneurship, executive advisory, and initiatives focused on strengthening organizational and human capability in the Intelligence Age.

The most powerful technology is not necessarily the technology with the greatest technical capability. It is the technology — and the system around it — that helps people make better decisions and achieve better outcomes.

One Mission. Multiple Expressions.

Today, Abisola's work spans healthcare innovation through Agnes Platforms, enterprise transformation through CoreLoop Advisory, global health leadership, and the continuing development of Enterprise Intelligence Systems™. These are not disconnected pursuits. They are different expressions of the same mission:

To build organizations and systems that learn more effectively, make better decisions, adapt responsibly, and use intelligence in service of better human outcomes.

Understand the system.

Find what is missing.

Build what enables it to work better.
